Alex specializes in the representation of technology and emerging growth companies throughout their life cycles, as well as venture capital firms. His practice spans a broad range of corporate and securities law matters, including entity formation, counseling founders and directors on matters of corporate governance, equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance.

In his role as a corporate lawyer, Alex acts as outside general counsel for many of his clients with a particular expertise in the disruptive technologies like AI, software, crypto, and web3 industries. Whether advising startups navigating their first rounds of funding to providing guidance for crypto-focused investors securing token rights, Alex delivers tailored guidance aligned with the fast-evolving landscape of these industries.

Before joining Gunderson Dettmer, Alex gained valuable experience at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he advised early-stage technology and life sciences companies. He also served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Priscilla R. Owen of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
