Joyce Hu Joins Gunderson Dettmer Beijing as Of Counsel

We are delighted to announce that Joyce Hu has joined our Beijing office as Of Counsel. Joyce is a valued member of our China and Life Sciences practice groups, where she focuses on representing emerging growth companies in the life sciences and technology sectors throughout their corporate lifecycles.

Joyce brings significant experience in the life sciences, biotech, and TMT sectors across Greater China. She advises clients on a wide range of transactions, including venture capital and private equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, licensing deals, and general corporate matters. Her comprehensive industry knowledge is built on extensive experience both in-house and in private practice.

Joyce’s experience spans both sides of the legal world, having served as outside legal counsel in top-tier law firms and as the head of legal at Full-Life Technologies, a fully integrated global radiotherapeutics company with operations in Belgium, Germany, and China.

During Joyce’s time as Full-Life’s head of legal, she played a pivotal role in guiding the company's journey from its initial Series A financing round to IPO. This involved structuring and negotiating pivotal agreements, managing regulatory compliance, and providing strategic legal counsel to senior management. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, she developed and executed strategies that aligned with the company's overarching goals, contributing to its growth and success in a highly regulated and innovative industry. This unique perspective has endowed Joyce with a multifaceted approach to problem-solving and business strategy, allowing her to offer innovative solutions that align with client objectives and industry trends.
