Valor Capital Group Leads Velotax R$125 Series A
Gunderson Dettmer represented client Valor Capital Group as a co-lead investor in the R$125 million Series A financing of Velotax, a fintech expanding AI-driven credit for underserved Brazilians.
Velotax is a full-scale personal finance ecosystem designed to reach those often denied loans by traditional banks. The new financing, also led by QED Investors and Picus Capital, will enable the company to expand its AI credit platform and strengthen its financial-inclusion strategy across Brazil.
In the announcement of the transaction, Velotax co-founder Eduardo Esmanhotto said, “Our user today is class C and D, who has already had credit denied elsewhere. We built a gamified system with scores that unlock products according to performance.”
The Gunderson deal team was led by Brian Hutchings and included Tuca Bihari.
