Uruguayan AI Startup Horizon Raises $3.5 Million Seed Investment
Gunderson Dettmer represented Horizon, an artificial intelligence platform, in its $3.5 million seed financing led by NXTP.
Horizon aims to replace extensive and expensive traditional consulting processes with artificial intelligence applied in real time. The platform talks to employees at scale, integrates that information into a system, and detects patterns, inefficiencies, and opportunities for operational improvement.
The company will use the new capital to deepen their product for large corporations and accelerate their expansion in the United States.
“Executives have enormous pressure to understand how to apply artificial intelligence and do it quickly,” said Horizon co-founder and CEO Nicolás Scopesi in a Forbes article profiling the financing. “We take processes that previously took 18 months, and we take them to something that can begin to be seen in minutes or hours.”
The Gunderson deal team was led by Brad Krack and Eduardo Espinosa de los Monteros Pereda and included Felipe Hasenohr.
