Proception Raises $11 Million Seed Financing
Gunderson Dettmer represented Proception in its $11 million Series Seed financing round led by First Round Capital with contributions from Y Combinator and BoxGroup.
Proception develops high‑dexterity robotic hands for humanoid robots and is already shipping its “22‑degree‑of‑freedom” robotic hand to robotics companies and research labs. The company plans to use its new financing to further develop its robotic hands and underlying human‑hand interaction data platform.
“The goal is to become the top hand supplier to other companies that don’t want to spend the time or resources developing what’s known in the industry as ‘dexterous manipulation,’” said Jay Li, CEO of Proception, in a TechCrunch article covering the financing.
The Gunderson deal team included Andy Bradley, Damon Zhangchai, Shu Hu and Alan Gao.
