Polar Announces $10M Series Seed Led by Accel

Gunderson Dettmer represented client Polar in its $10 million Series Seed financing led by Accel.

Polar is an open-source billing infrastructure platform designed specifically for developers, designers, and digital creators who want to monetize their products without the complexity of traditional payment systems.

In the announcement of the transaction, the company said in a statement, “We’re thrilled to have raised our Seed round with Accel – an iconic fund supporting some of the world’s best startups. This funding will enable us to meaningfully scale our remote-first team across Europe and invest in growth, developer relations, and strategic partnerships across the payments ecosystem.”

The Gunderson deal team was led by Dan Green and included Aaron Fiske, Brian Willbur, Maurice Osei, Alan Gao and Yue Yang.
