Planeteer Capital Closes $54M First-time Fund To Invest in Climate-Tech
Gunderson Dettmer represented client Planeteer Capital in its $54 million first-time fund formation. The New York-based venture capital firm, led by Managing Partner Sophie Purdom, will dedicate its Planeteer Fund I to invest in early-stage climate technology companies. Planeteer’s strategy is to lead pre-seed and seed rounds in asset-light companies with a focus on applications in food and land use, manufacturing, buildings, as well as climate-risk mitigation and adaptation.
The fund has already partnered with eight teams globally across climate themes.
The Gunderson deal team included Brian Hutchings, Stig Colberg, and Caroline Shipman.
