Hostie Raises $12 Million Series A Financing

Gunderson Dettmer represented client Hostie in its $12 million Series A financing led by Obvious Ventures with participation with Gradient, Scribble Ventures, Burst Capital and Behind Genius. Hostie is a developer of an AI phone assistant solution aimed at transforming communication between restaurants and their guests.

Since launching, Hostie has become a trusted virtual concierge for hundreds of restaurants and hospitality groups nationwide. The platform helps operators manage calls, texts, reservations, takeout inquiries, private events, and guest questions while delivering a seamless guest experience and freeing teams to focus on in-person hospitality. The new funding will allow Hostie to accelerate product development and grow its leadership team and also fuels the company’s broader vision of transforming how restaurants connect with their guests at every touchpoint, across every channel.
