Foundation Capital Announces $600 Million Eleventh Fund
Gunderson Dettmer represented Foundation Capital in the formation of its $600 million eleventh flagship fund.
The firm plans to deploy the capital at the earliest stages across enterprise, AI, fintech, and crypto, continuing its strategy of backing “zero billion‑dollar markets” and aiming to be the first institutional investor in most of its portfolio companies.
“Most firms that have been around for 30 years have typically gone multi-stage, multi-geography, multi-strategy,” said Foundation Capital general partner Steve Vasello, in a TechCrunch article profiling the fund. “We instead have stayed very focused on the early stage.”
The Gunderson deal team included Andrew Thornborrow, Chris Partin, Jaime Narayan, Laura O’Leary and Angel Chan.
