Convey Raises $38 Million Series A
Gunderson Dettmer represented Convey in its $38 million Series A financing. The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz with participation from Khosla Ventures and Pear VC.
Convey is shedding the AI agent label by building AI “teammates” that can take actions on a worker’s behalf and own real outcomes. The company will use the new funding to keep expanding its AI workforce, automating repetitive office work so employees can spend more time on what matters most.
“Agents feel a bit overloaded at this point in time,” said Convey co-founder and CEO Rohan Chopra, in a Business Insider article profiling the transaction. “We emphasize teammate over agent because the teammate is responsible for an outcome, not just a specific task.”
The Gunderson deal team was led by Damon Zhangchai and Andy Bradley and included Jesse Birbach, Esalyna Liang, and Derek Shao.
