Brazil-Based BHub Announces R$74M Financing
Gunderson Dettmer represented Brazil-based client BHub, a full back-office SaaS for startups and SMEs, in its R$74 million financing led by the International Finance Corporation, a member of The World Bank Group. Providing services to all processes necessary for a company to function, unrelated to the company’s core business, BHub offers a range of service subscription packages that include accounting, accounts payables and receivables, legal, human resources, and other processes. The company will use the new capital to develop technologies, in particular a virtual robot equipped with AI to help accountants make decisions.
In the announcement of the transaction, BHub founder Jorge Vargas Neto said, "The productivity gap in Brazil between SMEs and large corporations is one of the largest in the world, making it difficult for entrepreneurs to develop their operations and increasing the risk of bankruptcy. BHub helps to reduce this gap by improving the financial management of SMEs."
The Gunderson Dettmer deal team was led by Christel Moreno and included Eduarda Tavares.
