Arcee AI Announces $24M Series A Financing
Gunderson Dettmer represented client Arcee AI, developer of a domain-adapted language model system designed to enhance the AI landscape for businesses, in its $24 million Series A financing led by Emergence Capital. Along with its Series A, Arcee AI announced the launch of Arcee Cloud, a hosted SaaS version of their platform. The company aims to deliver its vision of efficient, domain-specific small language models that can be rapidly iterated and customized. The new capital will be used to bring Arcee AI’s solution to the masses via its new cloud platform.
In the announcement of the transaction, it states, “Arcee AI enters this competitive landscape with a unique approach. While Microsoft and Google focus on general-purpose SLMs, Arcee specializes in domain-specific models and tools for enterprises to create their own. ‘We’re enabling organizations to expand beyond one high ROI use case,’ Co- Founder and CEO Mark McQuade explained. ‘With our efficiency, they can tackle 10 or 20 use cases.’”
The Gunderson Dettmer deal team was led by Sogoal Salari and included Aaron Fiske, Paul Sullivan, Jenna Finegold, Vard Danielyan and Madeleine Kerr Hyde.
