Bob is a founding partner of the Firm and is Chairman Emeritus. Bob is internationally recognized as one of the most accomplished lawyers in the fields of emerging growth companies and venture capital and he has represented parties to many of the most significant emerging growth company transactions (financings, IPOs and mergers and acquisitions) over the last three or more decades.
Bob has written and spoken extensively on various legal topics and is co-editor of Venture Capital and Public Offering Negotiation, the leading treatise in its field. Bob has served as a director of numerous public companies. He is a Fellow of the American College of Governance Counsel and the American Bar Foundation.
Bob earned a JD from the University of Chicago Law School, where he was Executive Editor of The University of Chicago Law Review, as well as an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and an MA from Stanford University.
