Rand is a corporate fund and tax associate in our Silicon Valley office.
Rand specializes in the formation, organization and operation of venture capital and other private equity funds and their general partner and management company entities, including representing fund clients in connection with their investments. His practice includes the representation of emerging growth companies throughout various stages of their lifecycles, including corporate formation, structuring and governance matters, venture capital financing transactions and mergers & acquisitions.
Rand’s practice also encompasses all areas of general corporate and partnership income taxation. He is broadly experienced with partnership taxation and structuring tax efficient commercial and transactional structures for our corporate clients.
During law school, Rand served as an Articles Editor on the University of Colorado, Boulder Law Review, completed the Colorado Law Public Service Pledge, made the Dean’s List, and interned with the Honorable Judge Wherry of the United States Tax Court. Rand is an avid boulderer and an Eagle Scout. He is an active alumnus of Eaglebrook School (’07) and Deerfield Academy (’10).
