Singapore Partners Jonathan Pentzien and David He Named to India Business Law Journal’s 2023 International A-List

Singapore office founding and managing partner Jonathan Pentzien and partner David He have been named to India Business Law Journal’s 2023 International A-List as top international lawyers for India-related deals. Jon has been honored by the India Business Law Journal for the fourth year in a row and David is being honored for the first time.

With over 15 years of experience, Jon ranks among the very top practitioners in the region for advising global emerging growth technology companies throughout their lifecycle as well as acting for venture and growth equity investors on some of the largest financing rounds and M&A transactions in India and Southeast Asia. Under Jon’s leadership, the Singapore office has also developed a track record advising on some of the most significant and landmark transactions in India and Southeast Asia. Since the opening of the Singapore office in 2016, the Singapore team has handled more venture and growth equity transactions in India and Southeast Asia than any other law firm in the world.

David, who joined the firm’s partnership in January 2022, has spent nearly a decade working with startups and VCs throughout the U.S., China, India, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Based in New York, Silicon Valley and Singapore during this period, David has led negotiations on more than 500 successful venture financing transactions and advised on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, commercial contracts and public listing preparations for a number of venture-backed startups. David’s India-based clients include Appsmith, Khatabook, Lightspeed India, Loop Health, Peak XV, SirionLabs, RevSure.ai and Tiger Global.
