Gunderson Dettmer client OneTrust, a developer of privacy management software, has raised $200 million in a round of funding led by Insight Partners. The Series A round brings the company’s valuation to $1.3 billion just three years after its founding.

In an interview with TechCrunch Insight partner Richard Wells said, “OneTrust has truly established themselves as leaders in this space in a very short timeframe, and are quickly becoming for privacy professionals what Salesforce became for salespeople. They offer such a vast range of modules and tools to help customers keep their businesses compliant with varying regulatory laws, and the tailwinds around GDPR and the upcoming CCPA makes this an opportune time for growth.”

The Gunderson Dettmer deal team was led by Trevor Knapp and included Anna Westfelt, Ibrahim Elshamy and Amy Luong.
