Gunderson Dettmer represented client Movile as it led the $17 million Series B financing of a55, a developer of a financial underwriting platform. a55 uses predictive revenue modeling to create fixed-income, like asset classes that attract investors looking to diversify portfolios. The new capital will enable a55 to accelerate its expansion in Brazil and Mexico and grow its portfolio of clients.

In the announcement of the transaction, Director of Fintech and Strategy at Movile Fabio Massuda said, “[Movile] believe[s] that capital is our entry ticket to start a deep relationship with the company. We are long-term investors that not only offer the funding but also strategic support in many different subjects: strategy, M&A, culture, people, management models, … so basically, we really want to find companies with teams that are open to our support.”
