Gunderson Dettmer represented client Lightspeed Ventures as it led the $11 million Series A financing of Nas Academy, a Singapore-based education platform that caters to the creator economy. The platform will use the funding to get more trainers on board.

In an interview with Tech in Asia, partner at Lightspeed Akshay Bhushan said, “New media is increasingly dominated by creators, and Nuseir and his team, having been successful creators themselves, are uniquely positioned to enable creators to become educators to teach and monetize their respective crafts.”

The Gunderson deal team was led by Jonathan Pentzien and included Jolyn Ang and Kinnari Sahita.
