Gunderson Dettmer represented client Cowbell Cyber, a provider of cyber insurance for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), in its $100 million Series B financing led by Anthemis Group. Cowbell Cyber’s AI-based approach to risk selection and pricing and underwriting platform provides companies with policies that are tailored to the unique needs of each customer. The new financing will enable the company to increase investment in data science, expand go-to-market channels, and support the company’s reinsurance captive.

In the announcement of the transaction, founder and CEO of Cowbell Cyber Jack Kudale said, “As we position ourselves to lead the ‘second wave’ of cyber insurance growth, this funding will accelerate our pioneering approach to cyber risk underwriting and drive growth and profitability while closing insurability gaps.”
