John Paul is a corporate and securities associate.
John Paul specializes in the representation of start-up and emerging growth companies throughout various stages of their lifecycles, including corporate formation and structuring, venture capital financing transactions, corporate governance and securities matters, private secondary markets, mergers and acquisitions, and public offerings.
John Paul represents a wide variety of technology companies from biotech, consumer internet, software, fintech, telecommunications, financial, e-commerce, and entertainment technology industries, as well as a number of leading venture capital firms.
During his time at UCLA School of Law, John Paul earned a Business Law and Policy Specialization and served as Senior Editor of the Journal of Law and Technology. In addition to his law school curriculum, John Paul concurrently enrolled in courses at UCLA Anderson School of Management which emphasized the financial, control and investment issues confronting rapidly growing companies in entrepreneurial settings.
John Paul is a member of Gunderson Dettmer’s People of Color External Development and Recruiting Committee where he contributes to the development of policies and procedures to promote the recruitment and retention of lateral attorneys and law students of color.
