Jane is Gunderson Dettmer’s Chief People Officer. Based in Silicon Valley, she leads the firm’s people initiatives including their recruitment, professional development, human resources, and diversity and inclusion programs.

For over 20 years, Jane has helped law firms bolster their client service missions by building programs that hire, retain, and develop top talent. In 2018, Jane was the first executive in this role, which was expanded to Chief People Officer in 2025. She has led several initiatives to transform the firm’s talent function, enhancing its approach to recruitment, diversity, and professional development, among other areas. She also emphasizes strengthening the firm’s unique culture across practices and geographies. In addition, Jane has helped to advise emerging company firm clients on talent management best practices.

Jane’s hobbies include traveling, reading, spending time with family (husband and two sons) and volunteering with the Young Men’s Service League (YMSL)-Alpine Chapter.
