The Biden Administration issued an Executive Order to regulate U.S. outbound investment in certain technologies and products in the People’s Republic of China, including Hong Kong and Macao (collectively, the “PRC”).   

The Biden Administration issued an Executive Order (“EO”) to regulate U.S. outbound investment in certain technologies and products in the People’s Republic of China, including Hong Kong and Macao (collectively, the “PRC”). The EO provides for the establishment of a new and targeted national security program to be implemented and administered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury (“Treasury”) in consultation with other agencies, including the U.S. Department of Commerce.
