Gunderson Dettmer’s Beijing office was honored to participate in the 16th Annual China Venture Capital Finance Organization (“CVCFO”) Conference and Welcome Dinner, held on September 11 and 12, 2025 in Shanghai, China. Recognized as one of the most important and renowned events in the venture capital and private equity sectors across the Greater China Region, this year’s conference attracted a distinguished group of professionals and investors from the VC/PE industry, who shared valuable insights and perspectives.
The “Welcome Dinner & 16th Anniversary Celebration” was hosted at the Mandarin Oriental Pudong, Shanghai, on September 11. David Wang, Partner in our Singapore and Beijing offices, delivered the opening speech, extending a warm welcome to over 100 members and guests in attendance.
On September 12, Richard Chang, Partner in our Beijing office, delivered the opening remarks for the 16th Annual Conference and shared insights on the impact of AI and the current state of venture capital investments. The event also featured Of Counsels Joyce Hu and Anna Zhang as panelists on the legal panel, where they shared their perspectives, experiences, and best practices on key topics including reverse CFIUS, extensions of USD fund terms and the critical considerations in the formation of continuation funds.
CVCFO is a non-profit association of finance professionals in venture capital and private equity firms throughout the Greater China Region. Since its establishment in 2009, CVCFO has grown to include more than 700 members from nearly 320 venture capital firms based in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Singapore and the United States.
