Gunderson Dettmer has been named a finalist for the 2025 Legal Services Innovation Award by The American Lawyer Industry Awards. This national recognition places Gunderson Dettmer among law firms at the forefront of innovation in legal service delivery and technology adoption.

The firm has been at the forefront of generative AI adoption in the legal industry, starting its multi-year innovation journey well before the public release of ChatGPT. In August 2023, we became the first law firm to launch ChatGD, a proprietary generative AI tool with retrieval augmented generation capabilities, firmwide. Building on this foundation, the Knowledge Management and Innovation team also rolled out DeepJudge, an advanced search and workflow platform developed by ex-Google AI PhDs, to deliver precise semantic search across the firm's document systems. With the addition of ChatGD+, featuring tailored workflows for our attorneys and business professionals, the firm continues to enhance automation and efficiency firmwide.
