Gunderson Dettmer Commemorates 2026 Black History Month

Gunderson Dettmer commemorates Black History Month in February 2026 with a series of events across its US offices, access to resources, and a tribute to this month’s theme, "A Century of Black History Commemorations."
Theme
This year marks the 100th anniversary of Black History Month, a meaningful centennial recognizing African American history, resilience, and contributions.
This theme reflects how a century of honoring Black history has deepened public understanding, elevated awareness of Black experiences, and affirmed the lasting impact of Black communities in shaping the world.
Reflection
"Black History is world history. In this time of uncertainty, Black History Month reminds us all to take stock of who we are and where we can go as we remember the rich cultural history of Black peoples throughout the world. It’s a time to consider not just where we’ve come from, who we are, and who we’re becoming, but also how we can reshape the world: how to speak truth to power, build bridges across troubled waters, show strength in the face of fear, and create love, culture, and beauty no matter our location or circumstances." - Viviane Scott, Black Affinity Group Convener
Events
- To celebrate Black History Month, we will host a series of events throughout February, including client mixers featuring a panel discussion as well as additional social events.
