Gunderson Dettmer Commemorates 2024 Hispanic Heritage Month

Gunderson Dettmer commemorates Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, 2024, by offering resources and hosting events for our firm, clients, and industry to honor the Hispanic and Latinx community.  
 
This year’s theme is “Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together,” which highlights the Hispanic and Latinx community’s cultural contributions and historical impact. The theme also addresses current issues faced by the community such as immigration reform, education and economic equity. 

Reflection

“Being part of the Hispanic community has its own experiences and shared resilience. This has helped me craft an identity that I am proud to claim. I have always loved the way we embrace our different cultures and then glue them together as one growing up. We have been challenged, as a community of makers and problem solvers — and the resilience that defines us is so much more powerful than any challenge we may face.

This Hispanic Heritage Month, I am reminded of the significance of sharing where we come from and what our powerful lineage is that we are part of building. Events

Gunderson Dettmer will also host regional events to reaffirm its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion to ensure that all employees feel a sense of belonging. 

The Unidos Affinity Group will host a panel discussion on exemplary client service featuring Hispanic or Latinx speakers from Gunderson Dettmer’s client base. The Unidos Affinity Group will also sponsor lunches and community dinners from Hispanic-owned restaurants across our US offices.
