Gunderson Dettmer commemorates Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day in March 2025 with a host of activities across its US offices, providing access to resources and acknowledging this year’s theme “Moving Forward Together! Women Educating & Inspiring Generations.”

Theme

At Gunderson Dettmer, we stand committed to celebrating the impact and contributions of women throughout history. This March, as we observe Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, we recognize the transformative influence women have in molding our society and propelling us toward greater inclusion and fairness.  
 
Women entrepreneurs and leaders continue to be at the forefront of innovation, driving forward groundbreaking ideas and disrupting industries to cultivate a more balanced ecosystem. As a law firm dedicated to supporting startups and venture capital, we understand the importance of varied perspectives in driving innovation and expansion. Reflection

On behalf of the Women’s Affinity Group, we wish you a Happy International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month!  

This month, we celebrate the achievements of inspiring women and the progress made in addressing gender inequities. This month is also a call to action to continue shining a spotlight on the work still to be done in our journey toward gender parity. 

The themes for International Women’s Day 2025 are #AccelerateAction and “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.” The theme for Women’s History Month 2025 is “Women Educating and Inspiring Generations.” These themes center on empowering the next generation of women as a catalyst for lasting and global change and redefining power structures through inclusive access to education, healthcare, employment, and economic and leadership opportunities. Organizers of International Women’s Day challenge us to step forward in solidarity to accelerate the current rate of progress toward gender parity, and recognize the urgency of addressing barriers and biases that women face in professional spheres. Some key facets of advancements for women in the past year have focused on representation, access to health care, and protection against discrimination. 

At Gunderson, we remain committed to empowering women in the legal, startup and venture capital industries. In the last two years, Gunderson has provided legal representation for:

• • 1,388 venture deals with a total value of $122.3B for investment in women-founded companies.
