Ultra Robotics Raises $50 Million Series A
Gunderson Dettmer represented Ultra Robotics in its $50 million Series A financing. The round, which brings its total capital raised to $62 million, was led by Framework Ventures, with participation from Y Combinator.
Ultra, a New York-based automated warehouse robotics startup, will use the new funding to scale its manufacturing operations, expand its fleet of autonomous hardware, and accelerate the commercial deployment of its fulfillment automation technology across domestic logistics networks.
In a Fortune article profiling the transaction, Ultra Robotics CEO and co-founder Jon Miller Schwartz noted that while humanoid robots attract much of the attention, other forms of robotics, including Ultra’s warehouse robots, are having the greatest real-world impact.
The Gunderson deal team included Jose Rivera, Handi Xu, and Zachary Roberge.
