Point72 Leads $31M Series B of Adonis to Improve Healthcare
Gunderson Dettmer represented client Point72 Private Investments in leading the $31 million Series B financing of Adonis, a Revenue Intelligence and Automation Platform built for healthcare. Adonis’s end-to-end platform was created to integrate directly with a customer’s existing systems of record, creating a unified data layer to deliver AI-driven insights that could better predict claim denials, provide recommendations, and surface actionable alerts.
In the announcement of the transaction, Point72’s managing partner Sri Chandrasekar, partner Tara Stokes and VP of the Investment Team Jeff Lu said, “We’ve long believed that advancements in AI have the potential to significantly reduce administrative inefficiencies in healthcare. When we met Akash and Aman Magoon, we saw in them a team that we found particularly well-equipped to try and solve the RCM problem – the two brothers are seasoned startup veterans who have spent the last 5 years immersed in the dynamics between payers and providers. Their deep domain expertise and compelling product vision complement their innate drive and ability to execute – we’ve been hugely impressed with Adonis’s commercial traction and the praise they’ve earned from customers so far.”
The Gunderson Dettmer deal team was led by Ross Burningham and Ibrahim Elshamy and included Tim Greene, Bess Blumenfeld and Radhika Raman.
