Mintlify Announces $18M Series A Financing Led by A16z
Gunderson Dettmer represented client Mintlify, a platform of documentation-authoring tools, in its $18 million Series A financing led by Andreessen Horowitz. Mintlify's platform uses artificial intelligence to automatically generate documentation from code, making it easy for developers to create and maintain documentation without having to write it themselves, enabling customers to save time and improve the quality of their documentation. Mintlify will use the new capital to accelerate its mission of empowering developers.
In the announcement of the transaction, Mintlify Co-founder Han Wang said, “We are in the midst of a reformation in how developers fundamentally interact with content because of AI. You're probably seeing this already. Every documentation now needs to have a chatbot to answer questions directly. This is just the tip of the iceberg. You can expect to see a lot of new AI features, changing how content is maintained and used. Mintlify customers and end-users will be able to accomplish much more with less. This is just the beginning.”
The Gunderson Dettmer deal team was led by Bennett Yee and included Damon Zhangchai, Bailey McQuain, Ben Adler and Phoebe Hung.
