BRIK Announces $10M Series A Funding
Gunderson Dettmer represented client BRIK, an Indonesia-based construction materials startup, in its $10 million Series A funding round led by Jungle Ventures, with participation from Accel. The new capital will support the company’s growth and drive the development of innovative construction technologies designed to enhance labor productivity.
Established in 2022, BRIK leverages innovation and automation to transform the construction industry, tackling inefficiencies caused by outdated processes, increasing labor costs, and a growing shortage of skilled workers. In the announcement of the transaction, BRIK’s spokesperson said, “The biggest challenge in construction isn’t robots or prefabs. It’s the lack of skilled labour and the rising cost of manual work. That’s what we’re fixing—how we build, not just what we build.”
The Gunderson Dettmer deal team was led by David He and included Binh Vong, Kinnari Sahita and Jieying Chng.
