Brightseed Raises $27M Growth Financing

Gunderson Dettmer represented client Brightseed, a developer of plant nutrients drugs and databases designed to naturally improve the quality of life, in its $27M growth financing led by Lewis & Clark AgriFood.

In the announcement of the transaction co-founder and CEO of Brightseed Jim Flatt said the company is also partnering with researchers to look at fatty liver disease, one that afflicts one-third of the world’s population and does not have a therapeutic treatment.

The Gunderson deal team was led by Ibrahim Elshamy and included Brendan McCarthy, Jessie Yu and Taylor Dimler.
