8VC Closes $1.5 Billion Seventh Fund, Firm’s Largest to Date

Gunderson Dettmer represented 8VC in the formation its newest fund, Fund VII, at $1.5 billion. The capital gives the defense tech-focused firm more fuel to back founders building the next generation of American industry. 

8VC’s portfolio includes companies like Palantir, Anduril, Ushur, Flexport, Vercel, Oculus, Saronic, and many more. The closing of Fund VII brings 8VC’s total assets under management to over $6 billion. 

The Gunderson team included Andrew Thornborrow, Olga Zolotnik, Laura O’Leary, Sara Gerdes, Daryl Dietsche, Aimee Li, Aleyce Fontenot, Naomi Tam, John Earley and Katie Taylor.
