SEC to Decrease Filing Fee Rates Effective October 1 (New Rate $138.10 per $1MM)
On August 25, 2025, the SEC announced that, effective October 1 (the first day of the federal government’s fiscal year 2026), it will decrease the fees it charges public companies and other issuers to register their securities with the Commission to $138.10 per million dollars, down from the current $153.10 per million dollars.
The fee rates affected are the Securities Act Section 6(b) fee rate applicable to the registration of securities, the Exchange Act Section 13(e) fee rate applicable to the repurchase of securities and the Exchange Act Section 14(g) fee rate applicable to specified proxy solicitations and tender offers.
