Brett specializes in executive compensation and employee benefits issues for start-ups, emerging growth and venture-backed companies.
Brett advises clients on a wide-range of compensation and benefits matters, including the design, drafting, and administration of equity compensation programs and the associated tax and securities law considerations. Brett also advises clients on executive compensation programs such as employment, bonus, severance, change in control, and retention agreements. Also active in the firm’s transactional practice, Brett has played a key role in many corporate mergers and acquisitions, representing both buyers and sellers on the compensation-related aspects of these transactions.
