Ángel specializes in corporate partnering, strategic alliances, technology protection, and licensing and commercialization of intellectual property and technology assets.
Ángel focuses on transactional IP issues arising related to our clients’ financing and M&A activities. Ángel represents a wide variety of technology companies from consumer internet, software, telecommunications, and entertainment technology industries, as well as a number of leading venture capital firms.
Prior to joining Gunderson Dettmer, Ángel practiced in the New York office of Proskauer Rose, where he advised clients regarding privacy and data security compliance, including data breach response.
During law school, Ángel was Book Reviews and Essays Editor of the California Law Review, Annual Review Editor of the Berkeley Technology Law Journal, and an extern for Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. Before law school, Ángel worked in the legal department at Google.
The International Association of Privacy Professionals has named Ángel a Certified Information Privacy Professional.
