Alejandra is an associate in the Technology Group in our Boston office.
Alejandra focuses on corporate partnering, strategic alliances, technology protection and acquisition, licensing and commercialization of intellectual property assets, as well as assisting with the intellectual property and technology aspects of venture capital financings, public offerings and mergers and acquisitions. Alejandra works with clients from a broad spectrum of technologies, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, information technology, software, hardware and media.
Prior to joining Gunderson Dettmer, Alejandra was an associate at Arnold & Porter, LLP in Washington, DC. While at Harvard Law School, Alejandra was a Harvard Graduate School Leadership Institute Fellow and co-President of the Armed Forces Association. She also served in DoD’s Office of General Counsel International Affairs Division, where she advised on international and national security law issues, including space law and autonomous weapons.
Prior to enrolling in law school, Alejandra served as a Naval Officer and completed two deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, during which her responsibilities included planning and executing Navy Warship operations, the operation and maintenance of communications and weapons systems and heavy-duty machinery, counter-piracy, and multilateral military cooperation. She also worked on designing behaviors for autonomous vehicles, signal processing and underwater acoustics.
